Founded in 1947 and certified with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, the company manufactures exclusively from primary materials and markets welding wire, Flux (in liquid or gel form), wave soldering alloys, pastes, and a range of products specifically for the electronic, electrical, and electromechanical industries.

They offer a range of lead-free alloys compliant with European directives RoHS and Reach, although they still maintain some lead-based alloys for specific applications. MBO products are used in BGA soldering projects, printed circuit board soldering, electronic component soldering, and generally in industrial soldering.

Over the years, they have strengthened their international position to provide better solutions and maintain closeness to their customers by creating various companies such as the MBO UK sales subsidiary in 1988, MBO Polska in Poland in 2002 with manufacturing facilities, MBO Doublink in China in 2006 to serve customers in the Asian continent, and in 2008, they acquired Radiel Fondam, becoming the only French manufacturer of tin-based soft soldering products.

Their main strategy is based on the development by the R&D division of new products according to the needs arising from technological advancements.
